Queen and Queen Mother comments are long standing banter. The waitress that took the order had never met me,but knew of me. I spent 28 years in Catering many years ago,so i think i am hard to really please, but each and every Thyme i go.They manage to do so. I really can not praise this Cafe enough.… I had the Grill, the other two had Macaroni cheese, and Ham Egg and Chips.Īll the meals were presented in the most intresting, stylish manner.Įven the Tea i had ordered comes in a nice way. Order was taken and the Queen of Scones (Eve) was cooking as Margot was doing another task for a funtion i guess. Menu's and the task to choose what delight's to order. We had a nice table beside the woodburner. My sister and Brother in law live near so can go in more than me.Īs i came in both the Queen and Queen (grand) Mother saw me,and said hello,so little interaction.banter. Today we went for Brunch/Lunch.Three of us. I have had many Scones from them,Qeen and Queen (grand) Mother make them for me,posted or collecting in person. It is to the great credit that Margot and Steve, along with the staff they have working WITH them. I have never had a poor expierance here,LOVE every little thing they do.and the way they. I can't say how many Thymes i have been here,as i live around 150 miles away, but it is a MUST go to on my trips. If you are in the area,do not think shall we go in.DO IT.It is worth it every Thyme. I really LOVE my visits to this amazing little place.and so glad they got over the hard times covid gave to catering. Quality local produce, and supporting other local companies in area. My sister, brother in law and i ordered from menu and food was cooked as nicely as it has always been. With all the pandemic chucked at them, they changed and adapted to keep the business going, and now thankfully they are getting bookings again for outside jobs and evenings, aswell as normal opening thymes.Īs they were soooo busy Granny was not able to come out for a catch up.or smack me around head for doing my best to wind her up.lol Saying that.the service was as fast and efficient as it ALWAYS has been. to give her grief.Įve (Queen) was in kitchen with granny and the place was very busy, they had a outside catering job (260 heads) and were doing the food to serve. Margot (Granny) had been warned i was coming,i like. I have written reviews for Thyme after time before, and with the restrictions lifted i was able to see my family who live near the cafe. ![]() Restaurants near Thyme after time Cafe & Catering.Hotels near (BOH) Bournebouth Intl Airport.Another huge hit were the pecan diamonds! They were all gone in under 5 minutes. ![]() I only got one of them and I regret not stealing the whole tray for myself. The mini salted caramel milkshakes were out of this world. All insanely delicious.Īnd of course, with my sweet tooth… I loved every dessert. The passed small plates were braised short rib, slight of salmon, free range chicken breast, and vegetable risotto martini. There was not one thing that I did not thoroughly enjoy. Passed hors d’oeuvres are my favorite part of any party. My favorite starters of the night: the goat cheese and caramelized onion tarts which stood in a bed of sea salt, the seared kobe beef with glazed shallots with chili pepper aioli on crispy gaufrettes + the creamy tomato bisque in shot glasses with mini gruyere grilled cheese. I strongly believe that the presentation of food matters just as much as the taste, and I was incredibly impressed with the way In Thyme Catering managed both. From the natural wooden display for the stationary noshes to the delicate flower pedals that garnished the hors d’oeuvres, everything was beautifully art-directed. I’d like to go back to Saturday night just to re-eat everything.
